This Oscar nominated short film Joe’s Violin, tells the story of a 91 year old Holocaust survivor who donates the violin, which he acquired in exchange for a pack of cigarettes in a displaced persons camp, to an instrument drive changing the life of a 12 year old girl in the Bronx. The film shows how the power of music can bring light in the darkest of times and how a small act can have a great impact.
