Aida’s Secrets, a documentary, described by Time Magazine as “deeply moving and powerful film,” recounts the story of Izak, born inside the Bergen-Belsen displaced persons camp in 1945, sent to Israel for adoption and his quest for truth about his birth mother, discovery of an unknown brother and his father’s identity culminating in a reunion nearly 70 years later. Winner of the Audience Award at the Docaviv International Film Festival in Israel, Aida’s Secrets reveals the trauma of displaced persons through a series of emotional surprises, right until the closing credits.
